Few days ago I was just wondering how far I have come as an entrepreneur & professional trainer/consultant. I was asking myself what if I was waiting to have enough money, get to the right age, acquire the right knowledge & Certification (perfect conditions to start)….. before starting off in Kumbo about 12 years ago.
Many of us have stifled our dreams because we are waiting for the perfect moment, perfect money, perfect support from people, perfect country etc . You will die and take your dreams to the grave if you continue waiting.
Check any broke, poor, struggling person around you, all they do is complain about this and about that while seeking for perfect things.
They want to embark on something they want a perfect Strategy or Process before they do so and that’s why they remain stuck.
Ask any successful person they took the first step without knowing the second.
I told one of my close friends several years back “I’m going to build the most successful training & consulting business & career in Africa” and he asked me “How will you do that from Kumbo?” well I replied “I don’t know Pa”
I started in Kumbo begging space for two years, then rented my first office as you can see in the picture, the room behind that cupboard was my bedroom, I could not afford a suit then 😃 & today we have delivered trainings in 22 countries across Africa, Middle East, Europe and America providing corporate consulting services to over 350+ institutions & have spoken in 1000+ events.

Stop using perfection as an excuse for not starting. Start, and then make it better, little by little. We are all work in progress.
You want to do great things right? Stop waiting for the perfect conditions and you will never have them. Get out & happen.
To conclude, I’m not saying preparation is not important, come on there should be a point in time where we just have to stop thinking about it and start to make it happen.
